Satin is a weave, not a fibre. This bedding is made from synthetic (polyester) microfibre satin, not silk. "Satin silk" in the name describes the silky look and feel.

Material
Soft polyester microfibre, woven as satin for a smooth, silky finish. It feels soft and silky like silk and is comfortable on the skin. The solid colours look classic and elegant, and give your bedroom a special feel.

The satin pillowcases are smooth, so there is less rubbing on your hair than with rougher fabrics. Many people use satin pillowcases to help keep their hairstyle neat overnight.
Easy care
Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle or delicate cycle. Do not bleach. The fabric resists creasing.

About satin sheets
Does it come with the duvet in the picture?
No. The set includes the duvet cover (also called a quilt or comforter cover), a flat sheet and pillowcases. You need to buy the duvet insert separately.
Is satin a 100% natural material?
No. Satin is usually made from synthetic fibres such as polyester, though it is sometimes made from natural fibres like bamboo. This set is polyester. Mulberry silk, often called natural silk, is made from silkworm fibres.
Satin is made to imitate the look, feel and texture of natural silk.
Will dog hair cling to this material?
Pet hair tends not to cling, as the surface is shiny and slippery. Claws can snag satin, though.
Can it be machine washed?
Yes. Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle or delicate cycle. Do not bleach.
How does the back side feel?
It feels like the front. It is satin on the top and bottom, soft and silky.
